Wilcox Tree Experts is a well-established, family-owned tree care company with over 40 years of experience serving Southeastern Connecticut. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Plant Health Care (PHC) Technician to join our team.

Position Overview

This is a full-time, year-round position focused on plant health care applications during the growing season and tree work during the dormant season. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and interested in building a long-term career in the tree care industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform plant health care applications including spraying and treatments.

  • Assist with diagnosing tree and plant health issues.

  • Maintain accurate application records and follow safety protocols.

  • Operate and maintain PHC equipment.

  • Assist with pruning and general tree work during the dormant season.

  • Work collaboratively with crew members and management.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in tree care, landscaping, or PHC preferred (but not required).

  • Must have or be willing to obtain a pesticide/applicator license.

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).

  • Ability to perform physical labor.
